Over the many years that I have been shooting, I have seen countless ways of observing traditions. To the point that when someone asks me, ‘what should I do? This way or that?’, I could only answer, ‘it’s up to you, I have seen people doing either way’. And of course, I have seen traditions being made up. Sometimes, I suspect certain things are made up by people to make things visually more interesting. But then again, if it works for you, just do it.

I like this photo where Jing Li, the bride, looked had an eye contact with the person lighting the candles. For me, it’s little connections like these that makes me feel I got the shot I want.
