graffiti, travel guide: Singapore

Today I finally met Sio Hui, the person who put together the travel guide “graffiti“. Few months back, I received an email from Sio Hui asking for contributions to this travel guide by “people who live in the country (basically, we eat, sleep, etc here)”. That was when she saw a posting on my blog on Thaipusam, which I sorta participated (without any piercings of course!) when invited by my friend, Indren. So after a few rounds of drafts and grammer corrections, I finally submitted my piece.

The book was published some time in August and there was a graffiti party at the launch, which I had to miss due to a wedding shoot. I bet they had fun there, ah well, nevermind. So finally, we met up today and got my complimentary copies. Sweet!:) I can’t seriously write, let alone having it published. So I must say, I’m really happy!:) Ok ok, back to the book, it’s a pretty neat guide, for travelers or locals who wants a little piece of Singapore, from Singaporean’s personal experiences.

Super stressed…:P

These guys should do something about super stressed wedding photographers as well. Maybe an album maker should try it. *thinks* I know who should act in it:P

Hottest place for weddings:)

Was helping out Ron with a shoot (non-wedding) today at Botanic Gardens and wooooooo!! We saw sooooooooooooo many wedding couples there. In a span of 30mins, I could easily see 5 couples. I haven’t been there since I started shooting weddings (therefore it’s easier to relate), so this sight is something new. Nonetheless, the weather was really nice today and we had a great day out! Pity I can’t join you guys for dinner… next time then!:)

Lou and Craig

Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of documenting Lou and Craig’s wedding. Craig was one of the most sporting groom I’ve seen. No complaints, no bargaining, just did what he was asked to, even when he was asked to sing a chinese song, 月亮代表我的心 (ok, it was a SOLO performance). And I’ve never seen such an estatic father-in-law, clearly impressed. So here’s to Craig, one more song for you to learn (in the slideshow):P

The night event was held at The Olive at Labrador Park. Although wet weather programme kicked in, but it didn’t seem to dampen the mood of the couple and their guests. Instead I thought it made the whole place more cooling, which was nice, since the venue’s an open area. Ok, I shan’t say more… here’s a summary of the wedding:)

CTE

ConsTipated Expressway

The other day I was just talking to friends about driving in Singapore and we touched on topics like road hogging, tailgating, parking idiots, lousy drivers… etc. Sometimes, driving here can drive the blood pressure up.

My gown

I mean, the bride’s gown. Very simple image, but I like it alot. Taken from Lou and Craig’s wedding. Still editing… slowly getting there soon…:)

团结就是力量

This video is kind of old already, but still one of the best I’ve seen. Watch till the end ya? It’s abit long, but it’s worth it:)

Everytime I switch to Animal Planet, my mum will always say, lions are terrible… and she wonders why the animals don’t fight back, since they usually outnumber the predators. Well, now I have something new to show her.
