Tired shoes

On a typical wedding day, we need to be on our feet anything between 6-12 hours. Having a pair of comfortable shoes is something that is quite important. I’m quite a big fan of Crumplers Campers (it’s the bak kwa that clouded my mind) because of it’s wide toe box and they are incredibly comfortable. My last 2 pairs broke as the sole came off. I’m going to repair them when I find some time later this month. Feels good to make old things work again. Currently I’m on Crocs and I have to say these reptilian shoes really last.

Bride with her shoes off while sending off the guests. It’s not an uncommon sight, but I found this one in a position that tells the story.

Polaroids fade, but kinship doesn’t

Wishing readers a Happy Lunar New Year! 家和万事兴!

I was just looking at my Lookback on facebook and it does give me somewhat a walk down memory lane. Social media has changed the way we interact to a certain extent. In fact, much of our past few year’s memories are buried deep within the social network. Sometimes I wonder, when social networks eventually dies or evolves into something else, will we still be able to retrieve our memories from Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc? Even at this point in time, I don’t think there’s an easy way to download the images that one have posted on these platforms, let alone status updates, notes, etc. Thinking too much? Or a real concern?

Well, for now, social network still rocks:D Even though it’s quite time wasting and a total productivity killer. I need to live my life, starting this year.
