Migration can be a pain. I’m talking about migration of images to different harddisks. While doing them, I found some images that I took in 2005. I used to go out alone to places like this. It wasn’t planned, but I when I saw this, I stopped my car immediately and decided that “conquer” it. “Conquering” comes with a price. Climbed down a drain, bashed through the bushes and got myself stuck in knee deep mud. I was rewarded with a beautiful sunset that day and sceneries that I’ve never seen in Singapore. Then, I realized the sun was my only source of light.

With my mobile phone’s dying light, I tracked back the same mud and bush, nearly getting lost. Sometimes, we learn the harder way. But it’s all worth it:)

I went home and told my parents about my “findings”. I always love the stories my parents tell me. Superstitious or not, I don’t care. It adds color to my imagination. This is what they told me.

Every forest has some demigods guarding them. As civilization takes over, these spirits have to leave. However, just like everyone else, they’ll need some notice period before moving out. Therefore, the tree is left untouched, until the notice is served.
