double lucky

We saw a pretty awesome sunrise in the morning (didn’t manage to take it since we were driving), one of those that look like salted egg yolk. Right place right time for the sunset. I have to say, sun sets REALLY fast in Singapore. I was still thinking maybe we could wait awhile more. Good thing we didn’t.

No wind

But your hands do just fine:)

Lining up the shot

It’s been a really satisfying day out in the sun. I love the light today, but just wished the temperature was a little lower. All done, now enter the dragon!

Daniel and Melissa

Sharing another wedding from 2011. Here are some of the images I like. For more images, click on the slideshow link at the end of the post.

I remember I drew the same thing I was very young and gave it to some girl in class. I must be K2 or Primary 1. I still remember her name, because some HK celebrity has the same name. But it can’t be her:P

Lines!! I love lines.

She’s the funny auntie. Every wedding should have one like her. It livens up the day!

I found the patterns on the groom’s vest and bride’s cheongsam looking very interesting and line right in the middle makes them a pair. Lines again!

Left: Bruce Lee was here. Right: They just happen to be there.

Ribbon = A, hands = V. That’s how I saw it.

One of her friends was saying… “the scalloping” of the dress. Now that’s a delicious way of describing a dress.

You can view the more images in the slideshow here.

Last Christmas

I was delivering passion.

At Regent Hotel. My former workplace. I used to work part time as a banquet waiter while waiting for my O Level results and had some really fond memories of that place. I’m not going to publish the stuff we did “behind the scenes”, but going back to the hotel as a photographer again does bring back some bittersweet memories. This wedding in particular, one of the older banquet managers came up to me and said I look familiar. We struck a short conversation while waiting for some guests to be ushered into the ballroom. Talked about the previous restaurants and the various changes made to this hotel.

As I drove home that night, I remembered our late night company bus rides back home after the banquet had ended. My first paycheck, which I spent it all on branded jeans (which I probably worn once cause I thought I looked ridiculous in branded stuff). ‘Trumpeting’ my first bottle of Tiger beer at Newton circus after work. Our frequent late night hangouts at the billiards parlour at Far East Shopping Center. Sharing hotel ghost stories and those lonely walks in the middle of the night along the staff corridors. All these didn’t seem to happen that long ago as my ID had suggested.

We grow old so we can reminisce the good times. Happy 2012 folks!:D May the year bring happiness among your family and friends.
