nothingggggggggg… part 2

After the launch of my new website, D-e-n-n-i-s (I shall call him “D” for now, you will understand it later) sent me a message on msn, saying that he found something special when he decided to use the search function. He keyed in his name and got a shock!! Well, try it… the search bar is at the bottom of the page.

Type d-e-n-n-i-s (without the hypens) and see what turns out.

I laughed so hard I nearly fell off the swivel chair. He thought I did it on purpose… which, come to think of it, I should:P Nothingggggggggggggggggg…

Riding high

Managed to have some water time couple of weeks back. Went wakeboarding REALLY early in the morning. Brought my trusty 20D along and did some shots. Didn’t get to post them earlier because I was bogged down by work. Here you go!:D

Suter serving a chicken salad.

Indy shifty

Hah, the last one’s Andy. Sorry, I think the silhouette shots look better here. We’ll try for the face next time!:D

a Saturday off

And I headed for Ming and Elaine’s housewarming. So many familiar faces from people I’ve met during her wedding and also Norman and Amy’s. It was nice catching up again. I’m not usually a gambler, but their set up was pretty cool, just like a casino. So I decided to have a go at it. Didn’t win much, but had tons of fun during the games. Before I know it, I’ve already been there for about 10 hours.

Thanks for the invite guys! Definitely very enjoyable and look forward to see you guys again soon!:D

If I said “Jump!”

…you’d say “How high?” Don’t you love Debbie Gibson? That’s the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this picture.

Julius update

Couple of days back, we receive a DVD from my sis. It’s a video compilation of my nephew. We spent a good half and hour watching the DVD together. While watching the video, I can’t help but notice the happiness that Julius was spreading within the family. It’s a different kind of happiness. Everyone was just glued to the TV. I haven’t seen my parents so happy for a long time. Even myself, I caught myself grinning ear to ear:)

I managed to get some photos from my sis. Here are the ones that I really like. This kid rocks!:D

Upgrades – the 5Dmk4

Finally got hold of the successor to my 2 5Ds. The new camera looks solid and seems a little heavier. I like the touch and feel of the whole camera. The custom functions are especially helpful for shooting in various conditions. First impressions are very positive.

Letting go old cameras is like parting with a loved one. The first sale was pretty quick, but the second sale, I spent some time in the car holding on to the body. So much memories. At one point in time, I even wished the sale won’t go through. At least I know I sold both of them to good owners. I hope they will continue to serve their new masters well.

Being alone

Over a few hours of reflection, I’ve understood so much about others and discovered a little more about myself. By far, the best New Year I’ve had. Quiet and happy. The noisy parts will come in a couple of days when the parties start popping up:)

Happy Lunar New Year!!:D

This is one of my favourite holiday of the year, although I don’t usually celebrate it (as in going visiting and all). Because it’s the only 2-day holiday in Singapore:D And yes, the new year goodies, my favourite bak kwa, mandarin oranges… yum yum!!:D

After reunion dinner at my parent’s place last night, we sat down in the living room to catch Stephen Chow’s Kung Fu Hustle. That’s a pretty neat movie!!:D Somehow or rather, my mum started talking about us getting OLDER!! Here’s how the conversation went,

Mum (to bro): You are getting older already… should get married soon! (I was thinking of Russell Peters when she said that!)

Bro: *laughs and mumbled something*

Me: *watching Stephen Chow getting beaten up*

Mum: *turns to me* and you!! should go get someone too…

Bro and gf: *laughs so hard*

Dad: He’s going to be a monk.

Me: *gave my dad an invisible hi five* ah yes… *continues watching Stephen Chow getting beaten up…*

Mum: *starts giving us a lecture about marriage… being alone… blah blah blah*

I wanted to ask her, how to say “jaded” in mandarin, but I thought, she’ll probably come up with some funny translation. I hope she doesn’t bring this topic up ever again. Else, the next reunion dinner, I’ll be having it overseas:D

All in all,  a very good dinner together. Eversince we moved out, I think the reunion dinner became alot more significant than it ever did. I’m happy to know that I made the right decision to move out and I thank my parents for their understanding. Tonight, we’re going to have that expensive new year rojak we call, Yu Sheng!!:D
